I am a maker of artist books, printed images and paper installations, exploring multiple perspectives, repetition, pattern, and non-traditional surfaces.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, artist Trudy Rice brings the colours and delights of nature to her works on paper, paintings and designs. She particularly loves the gardens and birdlife close to home.
Relief block making has been a constant thread through my adult life having trained as a Stereo Cutter (relief block cutter) in industry as a young man.
Drawing and printmaking are my primary focus. I work across a range of diverse and often seemingly incompatible mediums for studio-based explorations of the figure.
Working as a printmaker and textile artist I primarily create etchings and linocuts, but also dry points, silk screen prints and collagraphs.
